FILM ADAPTION INFLUENCE
Film Adaption Influence is an interactive data visualization which selectively reflects the trend of check-out numbers of featured fiction novels over times.
The idea behind this project has been motivated by trying to explore correlations between books and their adaption films. One significant pattern coming out of this visualization is that all the adaption films have remarkable effects on the loan numbers of their corresponding books.
In terms of content, the project focuses on four adaption films, which respectively released on 2006, 2009, 2012, and 2014. And the collected data contains over 20,000 check-out records from Seattle Public Library in the past ten years and the visualization represents an innovative structure in a three-dimension space.
